In May, Yoshio Horiguchi founded Horiguchi Internal Combustion Machinery Works in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, as a machining and welding company for automobile parts.
1948
In May, Established Horiguchi Internal Combustion Equipment Works Ltd.
1955
In December, the company changed its corporate name to Horiguchi Internal Combustion Equipment Industries, Inc. and Yoshio Horiguchi was appointed president.
1965
In February, Chofu Plant was established in Chofu City, Tokyo. In addition to automobile and construction machinery repair, the company expands its business to include ship-related and special vehicle manufacturing.
1968
In June, KAMATA Factory was established in Kamata, Ota-ku, Tokyo. Established a complete build-to-order production system for aircraft ground support equipment and special vehicles.
1973
In April, Narita Plant was established in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture. Expanded design and manufacturing of aircraft ground support equipment, etc. for airline companies and the Defense Agency.
1985
In August, the Chofu Plant was expanded to include related machinery for the manufacture and repair of crankshafts and various eccentric shafts, etc., creating a system capable of performing integrated operations.
1989
In April, Sagamihara Plant was established in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Moved head office and plant divisions to Sagamihara Plant and administration division to Prime Horiguchi Building in Ebisu-Nishi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
1992
In September, Yoshio Horiguchi, Chairman and Noboru Horiguchi, Director and President.
1997
In August, Signed a license agreement with Pratt & Whitney, an American aircraft engine manufacturer, and began production of PW4000 series engine transfer dollies and cradles.
1998
In April, Takumi Horiguchi became President and Representative Director.
1998
In November, Narita Plant obtained ISO9001 certification to improve the quality of manufacturing and repair of ground support equipment for aircraft.
2004
In May, Shoji Horiguchi was appointed President and Representative Director.
2005
In April, the company name was changed to Horiguchi Engineering Co.

In July, the company concluded a domestic distributorship agreement with Expansion Seal Technologies (EST), a U.S. manufacturer of POP plugs.
2007
In February, delivered a tail fin maintenance work platform for a KC-767 aerial refueling aircraft to Komaki Air Base, Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
2009
In October, JIS Q 9100 (Aerospace Quality Management System) certification was obtained for the Narita Plant.
2011
In April, to improve the efficiency of the repair and manufacturing departments, the Narita Plant was renovated and expanded, and the Sagamihara Plant was integrated into the Narita Plant.

In April, MHI concluded an agency agreement with Hydro Systems KG, a German manufacturer of aircraft ground support equipment, for the sale and repair of aircraft jacks.

In August, obtained a General Construction License No. (Han-26) 142027 granted by the Governor of Tokyo for machinery and equipment installation work.

In February, the company signed a license production agreement with Pratt & Whitney, USA, for the PW1000G series.

In October, Tokai Sales Office was opened in Obu City, Aichi Prefecture, to strengthen services to the Kansai, Hokuriku, and Tokai areas.

In July, Area 10 of Plant No. 3 was added to the Narita Plant for the purpose of servicing large aircraft jacks and other equipment.

In December, the company signed a license production agreement with Pratt & Whitney, USA, for the PW1100G engine stand.

In May, the company signed a supplier agreement with Farwest Aircraft, a U.S. manufacturer of aircraft maintenance equipment.
